The FAU Mentoring ARIADNEtechnat Program’s Kickoff & Closing Event was a resounding success, bringing together mentors, mentees, and faculty for an evening of celebration and reflection.
The event marked the official start of the new Doc/Postdoc mentoring round, while also bidding farewell to the Master’s mentees, who are now ready to take the next step in their academic careers.
The evening began with a warm welcome from the program coordinator, who highlighted the unique qualities of the ARIADNE mentoring experience, including its focus on individual career development and the creation of supportive networks for early-career female researchers.
A highlight of the evening was the talk by Professor Anna Nelles, a leading expert in Experimental Astroparticle Physics at FAU, who shared personal insights into her remarkable career path. Her story inspired both the new and outgoing mentees, offering valuable perspectives on navigating academia.
The evening concluded with a networking session, providing attendees with the chance to connect and share experiences.
